@bp: They don’t “choose to be there.” The soldiers chose to be soldiers and now they are obligated as soldiers to go where they’re sent and follow orders. That’s how being a soldier works, it’s not some buffet styled career where they can individually select when and where they go. Take up your problems with their military leaders, basically the top commander, Bush. Attacking the soldiers individually just shows ignorance for the reality of the situation.

I can’t Believe that you are here talking bad about the soldiers. Although I think Iraq is in Bad shape right now, it is very ignorant to think that they were better off before. Saddam killed millions of people and nobody care, now all of the sudden everyone cares??? I am sick and tire of people bashing this country. People that signed up, did it because they believe in their country and because they see the threat that is out there. Yes, IRAQ may not have been a threat back them, but is a threat now. The extremist are the ones killing the Iraqi civilians not the US soldiers. AS you well know, extremist from Iran and Pakistan are the ones killing all the Iraq civilians not the US. It is true that some of our soldiers behaved poorly, however most of them have been court Marshal and put into jail. For you to plainly bash our troops when they are trying to defend the Iraqi civilians and protect them from this extremist is so out of hand, that you need a check of reality. The invasion of Kuwait all that time ago (’89-’90) was cause for concern. American was not the first to react, which is atypical of the United States throughout all of history. They were, however, the ones who wanted to reap the glory. Remember this one: the evil of Saddam and subsequent retaliation of allied forces came to a cease-fire. No one won, no one lost. It was just a cease-fire – at which America refused to be present but instead allowed a representative stand in place of a general or commanding officer.

America only decided to go after Saddam because of tenuous links to bin Laden. Now, anyone in America CAN check this for themselves. Look at the links Bush has, and see the lists of the friends and families he’s got. You will see that bin Laden (and his entire family) is a close friend of Bush Snr. Take any other circumstance where someone has committed a GENUINE act of war. Or turf warfare. Anything like that. It’s been 5 years, and these tip-top forces with unparalleled technology – the likes of which we’ll never see ourselves as normal civilians – are still incapable of LOCATING bin Laden.

Think about this fact. It’s been said by countless people. Does it honestly make sense to respond with, “He’s hiding, of course they won’t find him”, or similar remarks?

To continue, America has, by invading Iraq for its own agenda, broken an otherwise successful cease-fire. Technology recently has permitted the accurate pinpointing of missiles across the globe by way of satellites. For Saddam to have had this kind of ability, he must have been given it to make his alleged “Weapons of Mass Destruction” any good. Otherwise, anyone with any ounce of military knowledge would know that it’d be like flinging a rock up in the air and hoping it hits you smack on the head. Unlikely at best.

I’ll let that rest. About the soldiers. I’m in England at the moment, so I’m able to watch the stupidity from this angle as well as the American media if I so wish. I don’t know the availability for Americans, but here we go anywho.

I know that British soldiers are some of the best to ever set foot on a battle field. They have helped (if not won themselves) countless wars and invaded many countries for whatever reasons. I also know that it takes idle hands to do the Devil’s work. No one’s perfect, yes, but there are very few cases of British soldiers treating prisoners or civilians badly – anywhere in the world. Especially compared to the US soldiers and how willingly they document their own evil, I certainly hold MORE respect for the British soldiers.

Not to tar the soldiers – as an entirety – with a bad name, I believe that it is but a handful of soldiers giving everyone a bad name. Nonetheless, despite this, I know that innumerable American soldiers are childish gun toting maniacs who’ll get off on shooting anything that moves. ‘As long as it suffers, woohoo’. I know, too, that Americans blew up British tanks during ’89-’90, and did it again when the British called for CAS.

I feel sorry for the British kids who didn’t quite understand what they were really in for. Going from disgustingly muggy English weather to blisteringly hot Middle Eastern weather for one would have been an awful experience. The pay’s bad, yes, but nothing can be worse than knowing that your – and I use this overused lie in the loosest possible manner – “ally” could shoot you or blow you up at the drop of a hat because they’re nervous, twitchy and badly trained to handle a war they started.

It is so true, yet I want to hear from you the day this “bastards” blow up your BIG BEN and kills 3,000+ civilians… I want you to tell me want you feel, tell me if you will still feel the same when you see people jumping out of 80+ floors to their deaths because they can’t stand the heat. What did this people felt when they though about their loves ones before taking that plunge.
